THE SACRED LAKE OF THE HINDUS.

Pushkar Lake

The holy Pushkar Lake is referred to as "Tirtha Raj," the monarch of all pilgrimage locations, in Hindu texts. Without taking a swim in the revered Lake of Pushkar, no pilgrimage is seen to be complete. Pushkar Lake, which has 52 bathing ghats and more than 400 temples deep and semi-circular in shape, is a lovely sight to witness.

Brahma Temple

JAGATPITA BRAHMA MANDIR

The Brahma temple, which is located in the lovely Pushkar valley beyond the Nangaparvat and Anasagar Lakes, has a particular place in Indians' hearts. It is the sole temple devoted to Lord Brahma on the entire planet. This temple's red spire and the depiction of a swan help to identify it as being made of marble and embellished with silver coins (considered sacred to Lord Brahma). The inner sanctuary is where Lord Brahma's chaturmukhi (four faced) idol is kept. At the temple, a marble statue of the sun deity guards the entrance. Surya is interestingly depicted with old battle boots on whereas the other gods are all shown barefoot.
